This month we are talking about pets in class. Each week a note is sent home with the topics of the week. It will help you know what theme we are focusing on in class. Please let us know if you have something to share about the pets. Bring your pet to school and teach us about it.
We are getting ready for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday. I hope you are working on the Valentine Days cards with your child. On this day students will wear a mail officer hat, provided by school. and deliver their valentine’s to their friends. In the afternoon we will get together with our fourth grade buddies for a Valentine activity and eat some fruit salad. Please bring a fruit on Tuesday to use in the salad. Thanks!
On Friday, February 17, we are celebrating heritage day. A flyer has been sent home with information about this day and also an email from our room parent.
SUNRISE retirement home would love for our students to come and give Valentine’s to their residents. It is tentatively planned for the the afternoon on the 17th. Please join us:) The residents really enjoy seeing.
On Monday, February 20, we are closed in observance of President’s Day!
On Tuesday, February 21, our friendly neighborhood dentist is visiting and teaching how to brush our teeth.

On Thursday, February 23, it ‘s time for the Gateway To Art program.
The last week of the month, beginning on Monday, Feb. 27 will be dedicated to Dr. Seuss. We ask you to bring in any Dr. Seuss books to share. Let us know if these are special editions and we will extra good care of them (not make them available for the students to look at). During this week we will ask parents to come in and read Dr. Seuss books for the students.
