This Week’s theme is “Let’s go to the Woods” and topics include Turtles, Forest Trees and Plants, Color Brown, Respect for the Environment, and Camping.

November Calendar

Welcome to a new month! November’s theme is “In the Woods” and we will learn about Forest Animals, Trees and Plants. We will celebrate Thanksgiving as well as favorite color day and hibernation day.  We will collect food for the red bucket food drive, due Nov. 16. Check back for more details.

Week of Oct. 25-29

Monday Oct. 25: No School-Teacher Inservice

Thursday Oct. 28: Good Shepherd Preschool and Kindergarten Open House, 10:00 a.m.

Friday, Oct. 29: Halloween Costume Parade, 8:15 a.m., All Saints Parade, 9:15 a.m.

This week’s Theme is “Fun at the Fall Festival,” with topics including: Color Pink, Letter F, Firefighters, Fire Safety, Fall Flowers, Crafts, Rides and Games.

Week of Oct. 18-22

This week’s theme is “Blue Ribbon Animals.” Topics include chickens, pigs, cows and sheep, Letter E and opposites empty/full.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT IS THIS THURSDAY OCTOBER  21 AT LA  FOOD SHOW – 252 N. BEVERLY DRIVE, BEVERLY HILLS (next to the Montage Hotel) This is a fundraiser for the school, we hope you can attend this fun event. 🙂 

Hawaii Presentation

Today, Pre-k through 3rd graders enjoyed a special presentation about Hawaii, where we sang songs, danced and learned about Hawaiian language and culture.

Amazing Animal Program

Today we learned about insects, spiders, lizards, snakes and hedgehogs at a special science assembly. We observed and touched live animals, and had fun!

Please bring a Family Photo

Please bring in a picture of your family for Spanish class on Wednesday. If you can’t find a photograph, please bring in a drawing of your family so we can all talk about families in Spanish class.

October 17 – Annual Family Mass and Picnic

Join us and the Good Shepherd School families for Mass at Good Shepherd Church followed by a Picnic in Rancho Park. We are celebrating our school’s 80th birthday!

Mass: 12 noon

Picnic: 1-5 pm

Week of Oct. 11-15

This week’s theme is “Prize Winning Crops,” with topics including: Letter D, Number 4, Pumpkins, Eggplants, Root Vegetables, and Color Purple. We also have a special assembly featuring live reptiles on Wednesday, an assembly about Hawaii on Thursday, and Roman’s birthday party on Friday (with more reptiles!)
