Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for thinking of us and celebrating our birthdays on Wednesday.

It was a big surprise to all three of us.

We are very  thankful for the cakes, flowers, books, drawings and gift cards we received.

The wonderful drawings will be kept forever and your child will always be remembered…

We never thought we’d be celebrating our birthdays at Giggles ‘n Hugs, but can’t think of a better place to do it now!

Thanks to all of you that were able to join us!

Once again from our hearts- THANK YOU!

God Bless you all,

Ms. Hellstrom, Ms. Arnold and Mrs. Cohen

Valentine’s Day Celebration- February 12, 2009

Valentine’s Day – February 14

On Friday, February 12th we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. Students are asked to bring one card for a card exchange.  A list of names will be sent home/or emailed to help you get started. You can purchase cards or be creative and make your own. There are 18 students in the class, 9 boys and 9 girls. Your child needs to bring 17 cards to participate. The cards need to be filled out before they are brought to school.

This is a good writing experience for the children, please help them pace it and write a few cards each day. Remind them to write as neat as they can since they are giving the cards away, but remember that we just started writing letters and mistakes such as reversed letters are accepted. Parents can also assist in the writing. For some, writing their own name is a challenge.  Have fun!!

A Valentine’s Day party is in the planning stage… more information will follow!

Thursday, February 4th- 100th Day of School

Please bring in 100 of a small item in a ziploc bag or little container on Thursday.  Ex. paperclips, beans, cherrios, star stickers, pompoms…. be as creative as you want and we will count to 100 all day long:)
