Dear Parents,

You are welcome to join in the festivities tomorrow, at 8am and 10am.  This is how we think our day will look tomorrow. (The parades at 8am and 10am will not change.)

7:55  Line up on the big yard with the rest of the school

8:00 Halloween Parade on the yard

8:30-9:15 indoor time

9:15-10:00 get ready for the All Saint’s Day parade. Eighth graders will be helping the children change clothes. Parents are advised to find a good spot on the yard.

10:00 All Saint’s Day Parade

After the parade we will meet our Buddies in fourth grade.

11:45 HALLOWEEN LUNCH!

12:30 Dismissal

Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for helping with our field trip today to Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch. We all had a great time in the hay maze, pumpkin patch, giant bouncer, train and petting zoo. We even took home our own little pumpkins! A very special “Thank You” to Marilyn Higgins for organizing this enjoyable day!

Fieldtrip- Wednesday, October 28

On Wednesday we are going to Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch in Culver City! Website: http://www.shawnspumpkinpatch.com/events.htm

More details will follow, but here are some important facts….

*Our school day will begin at the regular time.

*Bring lunch in a paperbag (if we find a place to eat we will eat before returning to school.)

*Wear the spirit shirt, jeans and tennis shoes

 

Spirit Shirt Friday Oct. 23

This Friday, dress in your new blue “Spirit Shirt” and jeans.

Next Friday will be our annual Halloween Celebration and All Saints Day Parade. Please come to school dressed in your Halloween costume and bring your Saint costume in a bag. Check with Ms. Hellstrom to confirm which Saint you are signed up for. Remember, these costumes do not need to be elaborate. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask us!

Character Counts Week- Wear Blue on Wednesday

This week is CHARACTER COUNTS! Week.

On Wednesday October 21, we will have a Buddy Day with fourth graders.  

Preschool students will be allowed to wear BLUE accessories such as  jewelry, socks, hats, scarves, or sweaters to match the Character “Pillar” of Trustworthiness.

Spirit Day Friday-Polka Dots, Checks and Stripes Day

This Friday, October 9 is Polka Dots, Checks and Stripes day.  Students should wear their jeans and black school shoes for boys and all white tennis shoes for girls.  They can wear shirts with either polka dots, checks, or stripes.
