Below you will find information about the beginning of the year. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask me, the best way is through and email.
Wednesday, August 26- The First Day!
The doors open at 7:30 for working parents. If you don’t need to be there this early, please be at school no later than 8:45am every day. That is when we start our day and we want all children there at this time. It is important for a child to start the day off with the group, to feel involved and know what will happen during the day. Your child will feel a lot more confident and secure if he/she is there for “circle time” each day.
All the students in our new class are new to the school. It may be scary the first days. If you, the parents, don’t feel comfortable leaving your child on his/her own the first days you are welcome to stay between 9-11am with your child. When you decide to leave, please let us teachers know and we will take care of your child, especially if he/she is sad. Please return when you have told your child you will do so.
The first three days are half days for the whole school, dismissal is at 12:30. Please pick your child up no later than 12:45.
Throughout the school year we will follow the same calendar as the elementary school. It is found on the school website: www.goodshepherdbeverlyhills.com

NECESSARY PAPERWORK
Before your child will be able to attend school a current (not older than one year on 8/26/09) negative tb-test need to be on file. Please make sure you do that over summer as it takes a few days to get it read and cleared.
Other important paperwork are the forms from child care licensing. You should have recieved them from me upon registering. If you don’t have them they are available in the office, please call ahead to make sure that someone is there 310 275 8601 to give them to you. You can also send me an email and I will email you a link to the forms: preschool_director@goodshepherdbeverlyhills.com (Write to this address with any questions you may have. Please note that it is summer and I am not checking my workemail daily, but at least once or twice a week. I will be back in the office on August 17th)

On Wednesday, July 29th Norm’s Uniforms will be at Good Shepherd Church (at the Parish Center) from 2:30 – 7:00 PM
This is a great upportunity to get the necessary uniform. All boys need to have one pair of pants with a belt for special occasions, like the upcoming picture day and all girls need the jumper with the white blouse.
