Our theme for June is “We Dig Dinosaurs” with topics including Fossils, Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Life.

Wednesday, June 1: please wear your spirit shirt and jeans, and bring a sack lunch for our field trip to the Natural History Museum!

Week of May 23-26

Don’t forget: there is NO SCHOOL this Friday, May 27 and Monday, May 30 in honor of Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy the four-day weekend!

Thank you Marilyn and Robyn for all your hard work in planning this year’s Festival. You did a fabulous job! Thanks also to our room parent Aimee and all the other pre-k moms and dads who helped to make the festival a success. It was a fun day for kids and adults alike.

This week, we will focus on the Letter Z, Number Zero, and Desert Animals: rattlesnakes, lizards, prairie dogs, coyotes, and bobcats.

 

Spring Festival – Sunday, May 22

Week of May 16-20

This week, we will continue this month’s theme of “Way Out West” by focusing on desert plants including cactus, mesquite trees, yucca, and tumbleweeds. Also, we will discuss opposites wet and dry and the letter Y.

We hope to see you all at the Spring Festival at our school on Sunday May 22! Thanks to our very own preschool parents Marilyn Higgins and Robin Medina for all their hard work in putting this event together. It promises to be a very fun day! Buy your presale tickets this week at special discounted rates.

Norm’s Uniform

Norm’s Uniforms will be at the school in the 8th grade classroom this Saturday, May 14th, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

On July 20th they will be in the Parish Hall at the church from 2:30 – 6:30 PM.

Happy Mother’s Day on May 8, Moms!

This week, all students of Good Shepherd School will learn about the work of Catholic Missionaries. The unit of lessons for preschool and kindergarten students, “Vinny’s New Day,” features the themes of meeting children of other lands, learning about baptism and that we belong to the family of God, meeting Catholic missionaries and discovering ways that we can love like Jesus.  Watch a preview of this program at: http://columban.org/video/vinnysnewday.php

Tuesday May 10 is “Crusader Day,” a day-long, school-wide celebration featuring games and activities as well as lunch from the In-N-Out Burger truck! Monday May 9 is the last day to order your In-N-Out meal, so don’t miss out!
